UX Design

Visual Design

Throughout my career, I have collaborated with top-tier companies like Nokia and Gabriel’s Pizza to enhance the user experience of their digital products. This has involved designing and refining websites, mobile apps, and software solutions, as well as creating custom UX patterns that address the unique needs and challenges faced by these high-profile clients.

Nokia Topology Application

Screenshots currently under NDA

Overview:
Redesign and redevelop an existing application from the ground up to help engineers monitor, identify, and reduce downtimes for clients and customers—ultimately improving service, user satisfaction, and profitability.

Problem:
Users were struggling to navigate, filter, organize, and interpret information in the topology view of the application. This led to increased downtimes, resulting in lost revenue per minute and reduced customer satisfaction and retention.

Solution:
My primary responsibility was to design new topology interfaces and UX patterns that enabled users to monitor, organize, and commission large, scalable data sets of geographical elements. I implemented systems of progressive disclosure and negative interaction states to allow users to focus only on relevant information—while always having the option to access more details without losing context of the overall network.

Nokia Video Analytics

Screenshots currently under NDA

Problem:
Design and develop an application to monitor city surveillance cameras, leveraging AI and machine learning to reduce traffic congestion, crime, and other urban challenges.

Solution:
Working directly with engineers, developers, and prospective clients, I created custom UX patterns for a topology and video monitoring system, including user- and AI-defined presets, history timelines, tracking, and real-time dashboards and reports.

Visual Design Systems

Overview:
Develop a cohesive branding system, including color theory and an icon library, to establish design guidelines and tools that promote consistency and efficiency across all of our team’s digital products, resulting in a superior user experience across all Nokia CSF products.

Methodology:
By analyzing user feedback on earlier products, I collaborated with junior designers and developers to identify pain points and inconsistencies in component designs. Over several months, we employed rapid prototyping in both Sketch and Figma to redesign elements. Applying principles of color theory and behavioral design, we resolved these issues and established a more comprehensive and scalable component library.

Overview:
Design and develop a competitive, cross-platform online ordering system and website for a rapidly expanding Ontario-based pizza franchise.

Problem:
Previously, orders were placed only via phone to Gabriel’s Pizza’s centralized call centre, which then relayed them to individual stores. As consumer preferences shifted toward digital and contactless ordering, Gabriel’s began losing market share to competitors offering online services.

Solution:
Through months of user research and on-site interviews with franchise locations, call centres, and customers, I helped lead a team of designers and developers in redesigning the client’s website and creating a custom ordering system. The solution enabled seamless communication between stores and the call centre, reducing human error and streamlining the order experience.
