I am Anish Parmar.

I am a Product Designer.

As a Product designer based in Ottawa, a design educator by night, and a freelance creative (with a soft spot for mixology), design isn’t just what I do—it’s who I am.

With over 20 years of industry experience, I craft user-centred, visually compelling solutions that solve real problems and inspire meaningful engagement. My approach blends strategic discovery, clear communication, and a deep appreciation for typography, layout, and modern UX best practices.

I bring a collaborative spirit to every project and stay current with evolving design trends and technologies. Whether it’s a responsive website, a brand identity, or an interface that just feels right, I focus on craft, clarity, and connection—and yes, I also make a mean Old Fashioned.

I’m always excited to partner on new projects and help you bring your ideas to life.

Through close collaboration with users and stakeholders, we surfaced key opportunities to simplify workflows, reduce response times, and give telecom teams the clarity they need to act fast when it matters most.

Braumeister Brewing Co.

Inspired by Europe, crafted in Canada

Braumeister Brewing Company started with a clear vision—bring the warmth and community of Bavarian beer halls to Canada. I worked closely with the founder to turn that vision into a full-scale brand system, from identity and packaging to signage and digital. Drawing on cultural research and modern design sensibilities, we built a cohesive brand that honours tradition, stands out in a crowded market, and scales as the business expands.

Digital Designs

Working in the digital space

Across dashboards, animations, and interactive interfaces, I’ve helped shape digital experiences that are intuitive, engaging, and built to scale. From streamlining workflows in complex SaaS tools to crafting playful game UIs and motion-rich media, I bring structure to ambiguity and creativity to every screen. The work spans industries and platforms—but always centres on delivering clarity, usability, and a strong visual point of view.

Algonquin College

Teaching + mentoring future designers

Over the past 14+ years, I have been a design educator at Algonquin College, teaching in both the Professional Writing and Graphic Design programs. Leveraging my extensive career experience, I am privileged to introduce new students to the exciting world of design, while also helping others to cultivate their budding skills and learn from both my successes and mistakes. I take great pride in creating comprehensive courses, mentoring grad shows, and providing students with professional guidance that empowers them to become exceptional designers in their own right.
